I can't be, I protested, I own a house, a business. I'm married to a Japanese. Impossible, was the reply. You are illegal. I survived, but this book would have helped me had it been available in those days.

The one and only book for starting a life in Japan!

If you are interested in living in Japan, this is the book for you.
I have lived and worked in Japan several times over the past ten years, and I wished I had this book.
The author's, one a lawyer ( and one a professor, have lived and worked in Japan (in both good and bad working situations) and provide everything you need to know about setting up your life. They provide information on employment, visa's, owning a home, getting married and divorced, being a member of the community, Also the book is in both Japanese and English, so that when you are standing at the city office counter asking in your broken Japanese how to?... You can point to the section of the book, and the city worker will be able to read it!
This book is a must for anyone considering living or working in Japan, and an excellent resource if you just want to know how it all works (that's you JET's). You can also order it through the author's at [...]
